Services Offered

Spay and Neuter

As health and medical care providers for pets in our community, we consider it our responsibility to educate pet owners about the importance of spay and neuter surgeries. Here at Animal Ark Animal Hospital in Franklin, we know that unchecked stray animal overpopulation results in crowded shelters and far too many dogs and cats being euthanized. We care about the health of our individual patients, but we also want to make our community a better place for as many animals as possible. This is why we recommend spay and neuter procedures for virtually all pets when they reach the right age.

Surgery

At Animal Ark Animal Hospital, pet surgery is one of our primary services. We routinely perform spays and neuters, and we also offer a wide range of other soft tissue procedures to treat acute and chronic problems. Our goal is to help your pet enjoy a happier, healthier future with surgery, which we provide in our state-of-the-art surgical suite. With your companion’s safety and comfort being our highest priorities when performing surgery, you can be assured they are in great hands with us.

Teeth Cleaning

Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease can lead to health issues related to the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common health issue among our pet population. This is why our team recommends regular cat and dog teeth cleaning appointments.

Nutrition

Dr. Paula Schuerer has taken advanced Master’s level courses in nutrition to help you best benefit your pet! Let her help you navigate all the pet food myths and claims of cat and dog nutrition; everything from grain free to raw diets to food allergies. Obesity counseling is available, along with plans of dietary action to have your pet achieve their ideal body weight for his/her breed and frame size.
