Will you be attending WVC this year? If you’re not familiar, WVC is an annual, you-gotta-be-there conference for vet professionals. It balances learning, entertainment, and networking to drive the veterinary industry forward and improve the future of patient and client care in veterinary practices. It also gives you and your team the opportunity to see where the veterinary industry is going and learn about emerging products, protocols, technology, and much more. WVC will run from September 6th through 9th, with 4 full days of exhibits, lectures, hands-on labs, and over 800 continuing education hours to choose from!
Tips to Help You Prepare
If you’re new to the WVC experience, we can offer some guidance to help you plan your trip and get the most out of each day you’re there. WVC has a LOT to offer, which can be overwhelming for first-timers.
Here are some general recommendations to ensure a great experience for yourself and/or your team at WVC:
- Stay hydrated
- Anticipate a LOT of walking (opt for comfortable footwear)
- Plan out your route in the Exhibit Hall in advance so you know where to go
- Plan out which lectures you’ll be attending in advance
- Get your coffee when you can; the Starbucks line will be VERY long
- If you’re a practice owner attending WVC with your team, organize post-meeting briefs/presentations with staff on what they learned and what they can bring back to the practice
- Pack protein-rich snacks and water–food lines will be long, and waiting in line can take time away from visiting booths and attending lectures
